Located in the Morgan Block Building since 1969, Good Earth Pottery is one of the original influences on the unique artistic nature of Bellingham’s historic Fairhaven district. Initially established as a cooperative studio space, the business has evolved through its more than 55 years of varied ownership into a gallery only, specialized in selling handmade pottery and ceramic art.
Since becoming sole owner in 2019, AnnMarie Cooper’s vision for Good Earth Pottery has expanded to inclusion of the national ceramic community–while continuing to showcase the amazing local artists of NW Washington. The gallery regularly represents more than 35 artists curated from within about a 100-mile radius of Bellingham (with some exceptions) and also hosts several shows a year featuring artists from across the US & Canada. AnnMarie is also committed to bringing more artist diversity into the gallery, as well as offering equitable opportunity for artists.
In addition, the gallery hosts an annual exhibition of Whatcom County student work featuring local high school and college students.
